The republic of Bulgaria is quite a well known and well visited place which is situated in the south-east part of Europe and more precisely in the eastern part of the Balkan peninsula. This is a very beautiful and exotic country that invites all its visitors with its open arms to come and explore its natural beauty and grandeur. On the north it has a common boundary with Romania and on the west with Yugoslavia. On the southwest of the country is the very prominent Macedonia while on the south-east it is contiguous to Turkey. On the east the country is bounded by the Black Sea. The total length of the Bulgarian border-line is 2245 km, 1181 of which are land frontier, 686 km river and 378 km sea-frontage.This country is considered to be a very beautiful one that is worth touring and discovering and also carrying home the memories to cherish for a life time.

Bulgaria is considered to be a former communist country that has been striving for a long time to enter the European Union, and as a country has experienced macroeconomic stability and strong growth since a major economic downturn in 1996 led to the fall of the then socialist government. This gave birth to consequence and it in turn resulted in a government that became committed to economic reform and responsible fiscal planning.

There are very small cities that comprise this country and Sofia, the capital, is the largest city with a population of 1.3 million and a dominant position in the country's economic, political, and cultural life.
