Rotaract derives itself from
Rotary in Action . With the word action we generally associate energy, youth, vigor, which forms the essence of Rotaract youth in action!

Every year the torch of Rotaract is passed in the hands of yet another responsible young individual who carries on the previous tasks as well as adds new ideas and thoughts. The chain of Rotaract gets stronger and longer by adding newer links to it. The vision of the leader plays a pivotal role in making fellow Rotaractors follow. The Rotaract District Theme epitomizes this vision for the new Rotaract year with a new Leader on its pedestal, the DRR.

The Rotaract District Theme,
RID 3080, for the year 2006-07 is PURSUE PERSEVERE PERFORM . Three simple words put together outline the three important P's essential for our Rotaract District 3080 at present. With passing years the activity front has been waning which demands us, Rotaractors, to follow the track that we have willingly opted to walk on, i.e. the Path of Rotaract. We must Pursue Rotaract in its right spirit.

Once a venture has started it is vital to continue it with determination and dedication. As beautifully put by someone, Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not. Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not. The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence, determination and hard work make the difference . This truly signifies the importance of diligence and perseverance. Thus we ought to Persevere Rotaract. Any venture taken under one's wing must be done with commitment and right attitude. Any work done half heartedly will not show the desired results. In order to do justice to the work undertaken, performance is crucial. Thus we must PERFORM in Rotaract to be able to do justice with Rotaract.

A wise person once said,
Avoiding the phrase 'I don't have time...', will soon help you to realize that you do have the time needed for just about anything you choose to accomplish in life .Rotaract is voluntary; we are Rotaractors by Choice and NOT by Compulsion! So we ought to put in our BEST to make Rotaract reach newer heights. This simply entails the District Theme for the year. Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. "Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun.


Insignia

The human race has an effective thinking power. The vision grows from surroundings. An insignia gives us an instant linking to the organisation and its vision.

Our insignia for the year 2006-07 wishes to tell us through the spectrum, where we have the color blue at one end and the color red on the other, that as we pursue our task we move through various colors (phases) which show us the different hues of our lives. Our purpose to pursue a task is to perform it. Our goal is to perform and we do that with our perseverance. We have used the color blue and single point font size for first part in our aim Pursue This entails that we are on a start, it is one end of the path. The color orange is in the mid path and the font size increases for Perseverance Telling us with perseverance we need to move up the path. There comes the color red on the other end of the path and a bolder font for Perform It gives us the sign that we reached a designated point on our path. This path can be any part of our life.

We have the Rotaract safely placed under the umbrella of the spectrum, making us aware that as we pursue our goals for the Rotaract year, we would with our perseverance, perform and achieve our goals and set newer ones to make things work.
