About Gel
For the first time in India we have produced Gel based products and designed
to provide Gel cushioning comfort for various applications. These products are
cost effective, durable and can compete equivalently with silicon. This material
has exceptional gentle feeling, on touch, which almost resembles the human body
flesh. The rebounding effect of this material is more spontaneous than all the
other contemporary available material like PU, Rubber or Sponge.
Gel Mechanical Properties
1. In Gel the coils remain fixed in space, not exchanging places as they
do in concentrated solutions, the gel will not flow out.
2. Each Gel molecule could be considered as dilute solution, unlike solid
molecules. This is a considerable advantage. It means that the coil segments
can move freely, depending on the segment chemical structure, the concentration,
coil density and obviously the cross linking degree. Therefore, under the influence
of any deforming force, can react with an elastic retractive force. We can say
Gel have elasticity.
3. Like solids, the strength of the Gel increases with the cross linking
degree i.e., hardness and toughness turn higher. Therefore more cross linked
is the material sufficient elastic and stronger is it. A mattress made up of
Gel makes you feel comfortable due to its 3 dimensional flowing property, and
strong enough so that it can stand your own weight without losing its memory
(shape) on removal of load applied.
