APPLICATIONS

The major use of Antimony Oxide is as a Flame Retardant synergist in plastics, rubber, textiles, adhesives, fiberglass & Paper.  Glass manufacturers use it as a fining agent or as degasser (to remove bubbles).
Porcelain and Enameling services use it as an opacifier. Paint manufacturers use Antimony Oxide as a white pigment.  It is sometimes used with other materials to form yellow pigments.

Packed in 25 kilograms multiwall paper bags, 40 bags per pallet.  Each pallet is stretchwrapped in polyethylene to prevent shifting of the bags during transit.

APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS
The major application for Antimony Trichloride is as the feed material for catalyzing the formation of CFC. Typically the Antimony Trichloride is chlorinated to form the Pentachloride which is the active catalyst. A second application is as a catalyst for the brominated flame-retardant compound.

Packing in specially a moisture/Air sealed Polythene Pouch of 5 Kg. each and 4 pouches packed in plastic drums.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Product is corrosive and when it comes in contact with moisture it will generate Hydrochloric Acid Vapour. Wear goggles and respirators for handling and avoid direct skin contact, inhalation and ingestion.

BENEFITS
Antimony Pentoxide (Zero Tint Antimony) has been specifically developed for flame retarding chloride. It has improved heat stability when used with Ba/Cd/Zn and phosphate type stabilizers. For better “clear” can be obtained with antimony pentoxide with any form of low tint antimony trioxide. Colour pigment loading can usually be reduced at least 50% when low tint antimony trioxide is replaced by an equal weight of antimony pentoxide. The brilliance of florescent colour is easily maintained and translucent colours are possible. Regular antimony trioxide lends itself better to pastel shades, although antimony trioxide varies in hiding power and batch to batch variations have caused difficulties. The use of titanium dioxide as white pigment together with antimony pentoxide for flame redundancy is preferable for reproducible colour matching.

APPLICATIONS
GLASS
Sodium Antimonate is used in the Glass Industry as a fining agent or degasser, especially in colour television bulbs and optical glass.

CHEMICAL INTERMEDIATE
Sodium Antimonate Hexahydrate is used for the production of Colloidal Antimony Pentaoxide used as a flame retardant. It is also used for the production of extremely high purity Antimony Metal and subsequently high purity Antimony Trioxide.

FLAME RETARDANT
APPLICATIONS

When used with halogen, usually chlorine, Sodium Antimonate is a fire retardant with very low tinting characteristics. As such it is used in plastics, paints, fibre glass resins and various textile goods.

Flame Guard is a fine powder which is easily dispersed in polymeric materials.

APPLICATIONS
Flame Guard in addition to being an effective flame retardant properties and can therefore replace some of the Antimony Oxide in the formulation thus reducing cost. Alternatively it may be incorporated in addition to the Antimony Oxide thus improving the flame retardant properties of the composition. In both cases, smoke evolution will be significantly reduced.

The standard package is a multiwalled 25 kgs. paper sack.
